Turkey for Thanksgiving

If you haven't heard, we are going to Turkey for Thanksgiving. I am so excited.

You know I've been dying to get out of the country. I get antsy and want to see the world. Hebs and I discussed back and forth where in the world we wanted to go- Greek Isles, Ireland, Costa Rica, Venice, Disney World. My only stipulation was that we should go somewhere neither of us had been before.

Our decision was made much easier by a couple of old friends planning a trip to Turkey. They were kind enough to invite us along and so we landed on Istanbul, the perfect combination of East and West.

I'm bummed to miss the Thanksgiving festivities but we'll still fit a little Turkey in. :)

My sister was in Turkey last summer and had a WONDERFUL time. While there, she bought a beautiful Turkish rug that included the cost of shipping it to the U.S. in the price. It's a great conversation piece!

Hope you both have a great trip this fall!
