Summer

It finally feels like summer. The sun has come out to stay and Hebs and I are settling into a routine. I like the somewhat slower pace of summer, sleeping in a little, and only having one class to worry about. Now, if only my job didn't gear up into a stressful time. We can't have it all.

The warmer weather brings tons of activities to participate in - some of the best of the whole year. Last weekend it was Summerfest at the Tabernacle. Artists from all around come to showcase their wares. I liked it but have to admit that some of the booths (especially the photographers) felt very much the same. There were some standout ones that made up for it. We ended up having to go on two nights because we spent the first running into people and didn't get to more than a few booths, not that I'm complaining.

The farmer's market is in full gear. We've gone a couple of times. I haven't yet stopped by Crumb Brother's booth for their delectable sweet croissant thingys. How I love them and the fresh lemonade too. I'm really trying to hold back on some of the sweets.

Our fridge has also been full of produce. We started participating in Bountiful Baskets - a produce co-op. I look forward to what will arrive in our basket and we have been pleasantly surprised by everything, except the 12 heads of bac choy. What exactly do you cook with bac choy? We landed on Chinese food. The rest has been delicious.

I'm loving summer. What have you been up to? Anything really fun I'm missing out on?
