A couple of weeks ago we headed to Salt Lake for our niece's baptism. This is the first of all of our niece's and nephew's to be baptized. It's been a while since I've been to a baptism and I was surprised at how incredible it was.
Watching my eight year old niece make the promises and receive the Holy Ghost, I felt so strongly the truthfulness of the gospel. I'm not really one to blog about this but I felt so lucky to be a part of the LDS church, to have made my own promises with God and being able to recognize his hand in our lives.
It brought back so many memories of my own baptism. I can remember being in the water and feeling so clean. The gospel brings so much peace to my heart. When I don't understand why things are happening the way they are, I have felt this peace.
We spent the rest of the weekend with family, eating the massive amounts of pasta salad I made for the event.
