We took a trip down to Union Station in Ogden last weekend. I never thought I'd say this, but I think I like Ogden. Don't be too shocked. They've done a really good job bringing in family friendly and fun activities. This is not our first trip to Ogden and I'm sure we'll be back again to see the Treehouse children's museum or the dinosaur museum. Who knew Ogden was such a fun place.
Our little train lover was thrilled with the whole experience and we all had a great time. It made me think of Ophir, an old mining town in the Utah mountains. My grandparents owned a cabin up there and we'd go have a dutch oven meal, purchase penny candy at the tiny local store and wander around the old buildings and remnants of mines. It's a different world than we live in. But, it's good to think back on what life was and the way people lived.
