Life with Leo

It's only Saturday. We were at the doctor yesterday and I wrote the date on the paperwork. I had to double check a calendar because I couldn't believe that it was only the 18th yesterday. Has it only been that few of days since our Leo came?

(This one's for the Palmer boys. Love you!)

We are so happy to be home from the hospital and recovering. They made us watch a movie to discharge us from the hospital and there were all these couples saying, "I just never want to leave, everyone has been so nice." "How am I ever going to do this without them?" Were they crazy? Who really wants to be woken up every half hour and poked and prodded. Not me.

I just don't even know what to do with myself. All I want to do is stare at that little face all day long. I want him to snuggle up to my shoulder forever, to hold his hand and to listen to him breathe in the middle of the night. Needless to say, I really have done nothing but that the past several days.

(In the nursery)

Yesterday Heber said to me, "I just can't stop smiling." I sent him to the store to buy something somewhat embarrassing for a man to buy (no, I'm not divulging on the blog). He said that he wanted everyone to see that he was buying that item so they would know that he had a new baby at home.

So, we are starting our simple life together with our Leo. We couldn't be more thrilled.

(Can you see that he's holding my hand?)

Cute, Cute, Cute, Cute!!! You always love your family but your kid is always the best one of them all. I love his room.
I am guessing you are staring at him all the time because he is amazing and because you have to feed him ALL THE TIME. Fun!

I am tearing up at that comment from Heber. That is one of the sweetest things I think I've ever heard from a new proud papa. I must say you both look very chill in all these pictures (especially the first one with Heber playing him guitar) and that nursery? BEAUTIFUL! Did I miss a post on that? So happy you're enjoying that baby so much; what a wonderful blessing children are!

Oh, and what hospital did you deliver at? That's weird that you had to watch a video before you left, and even more weird that people were talking about not wanting to go home.

OH GEN!!! He is divine!!! His little cheeks just SCREAM to be squished on and loved! He is perfect!!! I just love him already! Congrats on being home and getting into the routine of having a baby (and hun, that is ALL I did for at least 3 months after I had my little ones, enjoy them, love them, hold them, cause they grow WAY too fast!) ;)
